More about Apex

Built for Queensland

We understand Brisbane's unique challenges

Brisbane's subtropical climate needs specific materials and techniques that many national companies do not understand. After the 2022 floods we remarked 15 affected car parks using our waterproof base preparation, and every marking is still perfect.

Heat-resistant paints

Withstand 40°C+ summer heat without blistering or bubbling.

Storm-tested

Formulated to handle heavy Queensland rain and occasional flooding.

UV-stable

Won't fade in Brisbane's intense sun: a 5+ year lifespan versus 2 to 3 years for standard paints.

Fast-drying

Essential in humid conditions. Typical cure time is 30 to 60 minutes.

Recent projects

Work across Brisbane & the Gold Coast

From major brand clients to local businesses, every project completed to AS 2890 standards with premium materials.

Reviews

What our customers say

Real projects, real results, real customers.

“We needed 3,000m² of warehouse floor marked with forklift exclusion zones, pedestrian walkways and loading bay lines. Apex completed the entire job over a weekend so we didn't lose any production time. The lines are still perfect four years later, even with constant forklift traffic. Reece personally walked the site with our safety officer to ensure every detail met WorkSafe requirements.”

“Managing 85 resident car parks plus visitor parking was becoming a nightmare with our previous contractor. Apex remarked everything in just two nights so residents weren't disrupted at all. The disabled bays are now properly compliant with AS 2890.6, and the lines are clearer than they've ever been. Fair pricing and excellent communication throughout.”

FAQ

Common questions answered

Not answered here? Call 0413 074 689 and speak to Reece directly.

How long before we can use the marked area?

30 to 60 minutes for light traffic and 2 to 4 hours for heavy traffic. We use fast-drying paints formulated for Brisbane's humid climate, so most car parks reopen within an hour and warehouses resume forklift operations the same day. We give you an exact timeline based on temperature and humidity on the day.

Do you really work 24/7?

Yes. Reece takes emergency calls personally on 0413 074 689 and we keep a crew on call for genuine emergencies. After-hours and weekend work is actually our preference for busy car parks and shopping centres because it means zero disruption to your business. There are no additional fees for night or weekend work on larger projects.

How long will the line marking last?

Five years or more with our premium materials. Our paints are chosen for Queensland's intense UV, heat and rain and are proven to last 5 to 7 years in Brisbane's climate, compared with 2 to 3 years for economy paints. We have had markings last 7+ years in covered areas. Most shopping centres and warehouses remark every 5 to 7 years for a fresh look, not because the lines have worn out.

What if we need to change the layout later?

We offer professional line removal using hydro blasting, shot blasting or black-out methods depending on your surface. Often we can remove the old lines and apply your new layout in the same visit.

Are you insured and compliant?

We carry $20 million public liability insurance, professional indemnity and workers compensation. Our work is AS 2890 compliant for car parks, the team is White Card certified and police checked for school and hospital work, and Safe Work Method Statements are provided before work begins. We are fully compliant with WorkSafe QLD and all council requirements.

Can you work around our business hours?

Absolutely, that is what we do best. Night work (most car parks are done 10pm to 6am), weekends, public holidays, staged completion for large projects, and low-traffic hours with traffic management for roads. Tell us when works best and we will make it happen.

How quickly can you provide a quote?

Same day for most projects, usually within two hours. For simple car parks or standard warehouse projects we can often quote over the phone with a few measurements: surface type, number of bays or square metres, type of marking, suburb and preferred timing. For complex layouts we visit your site free of charge and provide a detailed written quote within 24 hours.

What areas do you service?

All of South East Queensland: every Brisbane suburb, the Gold Coast from Southport to Coolangatta, the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Noosa, plus Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and the Redlands. For larger projects we also travel to Toowoomba, the Fraser Coast and regional Queensland.

What does line marking typically cost?

As a guide: car park line marking $15 to $35 per bay including lines, arrows and symbols, with AS 2890.6 disabled bays an extra $10 to $15. Warehouse and factory marking $8 to $15 per lineal metre. Road line marking $3 to $8 per lineal metre with traffic management included. Sports courts $1,800 to $3,500 per court. Every project is different, so call for an accurate quote. No hidden fees.
