The science behind UV instant cure
UV curable coatings contain photoinitiators. When exposed to a specific wavelength of UV light from specialised curing lamps, they trigger an immediate cross-linking process that transforms the liquid coating into a solid, fully cured layer within seconds. Unlike paints that rely on evaporation or multi-part chemical reactions over hours or days, the concept of waiting for paint to dry is obsolete.
